No back pain in New York
One of the hardest parts of the MRT is the waiting. While some people (especially knees!) get results almost instantly, before treatment is even finished, others take a little longer. Lower backs seem to be slower, often it can take a few weeks before patients notice a significant improvement. This is one of the reasons why I always do follow ups and review (for patients in Spain at least! Patients elsewhere get a LOT of emails from me) to keep an eye on their progress.
This particular patient got a wonderful Christmas present from his treatment . . .
“I would like to start by just saying thanks to Estelle.
Well this is my story. Last August I started to get a lot of pain in my lower back and left leg. I went back to the UK to see a physiotherapist who told me I had crushed my discs in my spine and should go and get an MRI Scan which I did. The results were the same as he had told me. I could have an injection into my spine and if this did not work I would have to have an operation.
Well as luck would have it I came back to Spain, still in a lot of pain and unable to walk very far without stopping to get some relief. I was in bed listening to the radio and it came on about MRI scanning type treatment in Cancelada so I went over to see what it was all about. I made an appointment to see Estelle for an assessment. She told me all about the cartilage re-growth and said she had had some good results so I said I would have 5 treatments, still not sure if this was the way to go.
Well I started my treatment on the Monday – you have to have them on consecutive days. When you are lying there you do wonder if this is the right treatment as you do not feel anything. At the end of the treatments I was no better but I was told it could be about 8 to10 weeks before I would see some improvement. As I was going to New York for Christmas and wanted to walk without pain, I went for physio about 5 times. I was still in a lot of pain when I went to New York but the pain started to go and by the second day there I was free of pain and walking about 3 miles a day.
It really did work on me and all I can say is thanks for giving me my life back without pain.
Thanks again.

Just a quick line to let you know I still have no pain in my back or leg. It is now 3 months since I first started my MRT treatment and I am still walking about a mile a day, something which never seemed possible before Christmas.
It took about 7 weeks before the pain started to go. It is remarkable what this type of treatment can do, it certainly worked for me.
It is the best thing I ever did.
Thanks once again Estelle
